Uterine synechia or amniotic band?From: Gina Allan (gina@wcf-potatoes.co.uk)Wed Dec 11 05:23:56 2002
Goodafternoon, I have had my 12 week scan and the baby seems to be doing fine. I have to go back for a 15 week scan because there is an area of amniotic tissue that is clearly 'out of place' or 'hanging' above the baby. The doctor was not very specific about what it was or what could happen and I feel very worried about it. Looking through the internet I wonder if it is an amniotic band. When the doctor scanned around the area - he thought for a moment that there was another sack but there was nothing inside it. I have has no bleeding but I have miscarried before due to the baby not growing properly early on. Please can you help? Gina Easson.
