Re: Nasal bones on lineFrom: art fougner, md (evsono@pipeline.com)Sat Nov 30 10:56:23 2002
perhaps the presence of the nasal bone, however, could be used as a second stage test to significantly reduce the risk of Down's thought to be increased following the nuchal scan. as far as risks, yes, agreed, but everything we do carries risks including doing nothing. and i'm not sure that the miscarriage of a wanted pregnancy ( using your example) is the equivalent of the lifetime of caring for a child with handicaps. this is why it's a decision best left for the prospective parents. just my opinion - i could be wrong. art

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
