Re: Fetal tissue densityFrom: Terry J DuBose (tjdubose@juno.com)Thu Oct 31 17:05:23 2002
Dianne, these are interesting observations. Last year on this forum we had a discussion concerning different types of skin lotions and the effect on sonographic quality. The subtleties and variables of sonography are remarkable. There is little wonder that the modality is so operator dependent... it is very difficult to just use "presets" on everyone and get good images. I have seen thin body builders that were almost impossible to get images, and relatively fat people from whom great images were acquired, and others who were difficult. The idea that some of this may be related to ethnicity is very interesting, particularly if it also has a fetal effect. We obviously need more research. Thanks, Terry J DuBose, M.S., RDMS Little Rock, Arkansas USA

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
