Re: GETTING IMAGES FROM ATL UM9 3000From: jworrall@alaska.netSat Oct 19 19:35:32 2002
I do not know about the UM9 3000 but here is the way it works on the HDI 5000: the disk drive is a magneto optical drive, which takes a special magnetooptical disc, not a regular floppy or Zip disc. When I see an image that I want to sent to the MO disc, I press the PRINT button. Then I take the disc out of the ultrasound machine, sneaker- net the disc to my computer in the next room, and put the MO disk in the MO drive on my computer. (It is not likely you have an MO drive on your computer, so you would have to get one). Then, using special software I purchased from Graham Thrisk (I can get you the URL if you want it) I can save the image to my computer. If the image you want is on the hard drive (again, I do not know how the UM9 3000 works, but the HDI 5000 has a hard drive) I think I can copy the image from the hard drive to the MO disk. The advantage of this system is that the image is digital all the way, so it makes for a very clean and sharp image. If this does not help, let me know more details, and maybe I can help. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
