ultrasound practice in SpainFrom: Heather (candhmoores@ntlworld.com)Mon Oct 14 11:06:43 2002
I am a consultant grade sonographer in England and wish to open an ultrasound clinic in Catyluna spain. I lived in this area some years ago and wish to return perminantly, but have no idea how Obsteric and gynaecology scans are offered in Spain, do they have routine anomaly scans, or screening for chromosomal defects such as nuchal Translucency tests, or biometery tests,? if anyone can offer any insight into these questions I would be grateful. I am at present waiting to here from the coligio de medicos in Girona as to whether I would be able to practice in Spain. I hope i will as the area I wish to locate this clinic is miles from any large medical centres and I feel it would help the local community to have a local clinic specialising in not just obstetric and gynae scans but also medical and vascular, with same day results sent back to the referring doctors, and using the latest scanners for more detailed investigations. I would like to hear from anyone with any thoughts on this project

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
