Support for Afghanistan US meeting. From: Philippe Jeanty. MD, PhD (jeanty@TheFetus.net)Tue Aug 20 10:53:13 2002
If any one wants to make a donation for the ultrasound course in Afghanistan next week (see below), I will deliver it. You can make a donation by going to: http://staging1.mediamacros.com/ which is the temporary site where TheFetus.net is hosted. Select Tools from the top menu then Donations. Select the amount then how many of that amount you are willing to give. Please write down "Afghanistan" so I know where to earmark this for. Be patient... with all the secure socket layers (or whatever those are called) it takes a few minutes to send... Please do not send after Saturday 5 pm or I wont be able to include it. You can get more info about this course at http://www.TheFetus.net > Links > Ultrasound courses and educational material. Please do not send "stuff" I will already carry gel-stand-off and a bunch of books. Do not believe that McGraw-Hill would have made any donation of my textbook though. Those cheapo were trying to sell it to me for the regular price. Fortunately you can find the book on the web for 1/2 price of the McGraw-Hill price. As a non-profit company any gift you donate totally tax deductible. Thanks for considering making a donation. Women's Health has not been a really top priority of the past government of Afghanistan (and even our government's fearless leader, in his magnificent view of the world, supports gag rules and refuses to fund many forms of family planning http://www.populationconnection.org/). Therefore any help you can provide will surely be much appreciated.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
