Re: NT Fetal Medicine Foundation

well in the us there's this dilemma - the legal limit for top is 24 wks except in certain areas for certain reasons. unfortunately, Campbell et al published results which showed quite clearly that the optimal time for anomaly screens was at about 22 wks, putting more than a little pressure on prenatal diagnosis labs. of course in the UK there's not this limit so it all makes a bit more sense. now if only Bianchi's group could come up with a practical test for finding the major trisomies in the fetal cells in maternal circulation - that imho would make a great impact.

just my opinion - i could be wrong.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
