HOWEVER, what is of particular interest on the First Look website is the NEW statement that: "First Look Sonogram provides limited medical ultrasounds to the public. All sonograms are scheduled by appointment only. First Look Sonogram does not provide measurements, determine due dates or evaluate fetal well-being. First Look Sonogram will determine the gender of the baby if requested and circumstances permit. Images and video from First Look Sonogram do not replace a medically indicated ultrasound." Their prior statement claimed that their business service was for "entertainment purposes only". Someone must have consulted their lawyers. Whatever the lawyers charged for this window-dressing verbiage, was probably recouped in two days of operating this baby-photo racket . Still waiting to see how long it takes the FDA to shut this physician owned racket down.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
