I just had my 18 week US and my doctor told me that I had an amniotic band. He showed me the band and told me it was not close to the baby. He said that it may go away. After reading information about amniotic band syndrome I am very worried. What are the chances that I have the band and it will not hurt the baby. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Erin

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
