Re: GE touting non-medical use of 4D US for fetal baby picturesFrom: Edward Lyons (lyonsea@hotmail.com)Sat Jun 29 17:54:40 2002
How is the GE Website "touting entertainment 4D fetal ultrasound"? I can see GE mentioned on the "Firstlooksonogram website but I see NO mention of firstlooksonogram on the GE website. Did I miss it? ps has anyone seen the ever increasing number of drug company ads for a whole host of new drugs that patients are asked to try or ask their doctor about? What is the difference with an imaging company advertising their latest CT or ultrasound imaging tool? Ted
>----- Original Message ----- Done! additionally, another tactic would be to give the phone number of the GE salesman to any patient inquiring about getting a 4d scan. ( preferably, his home number) i would urge the aium, acr and sdms to issue policy positions on this contentious issue. art

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
