Renal pelvic dilataionFrom: Dr Sarita Bhalerao (saritabhalerao@hotmail.com)Sun Jun 9 22:55:33 2002
I have a primigravida with 22 weeks gestation. The routine 20 week scan revealed Right renal pelvis 12 mm and left renal pelvis 6mm. There is polyhydramnios with AFI 24 cm. There is no ureteric dilation and bladder looks normal. Findings are suggestive of unilateral pelvi-ureteric dilatation. Should I karyotype? How do I follow up?

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
