My sister-in-law is 9 weeks pregant. She spotted for about 3 weeks. The spotting stopped but the ultra sound showed amniotic bands. The doctor said the baby is far away from the bands and she will ,monitor her weekly not to worry. My question is can she have a healthy normal baby wihout defects when you have amniotic bands? What are the percentages? Will she have to worry her next 7 months? Is there anything she can do to prevent the leakage ? I will appreciate ANY HELP. Thank You, Rose ( Kerekes2@Juno.com)

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
