Fetal Cerebral Ventricles

I am 29 weeks pregnant, and on my last ultrasound they measured the lateral ventrical at 2.6mm. I know that anything over 2 cm is not good, but is there a number that it shouldn't measure below? What does it mean, if anything, if the lateral ventrical in our baby's brain measured 2.6mm? They detected a 6mm unilateral Choiroid Plexus Cyst at 20 weeks, and it was gone by 24 weeks. There were no other abnormalities seen on ultrasound, and they recommended I do not do the amnio. Ever since that experience we are quite anxious if we hear of anything to large or too small....

Thank you in advance for any reassurance or advice you can offer.

Janna

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
