Re: 'Use of 3-D Ultrasound'From: UltraKath@aol.comWed May 15 09:57:55 2002
We have just bought a GE machine...really made by Kretz, with 3 and 4 D. I've been using it for a week now and its been great fun. The real time 4D had been amazing to perform and the patients go crazy when the image is good. Of course the same hinderances of 3D remain for 4D...like placental position or low fluid sourounding the fetus. I havent seen any abnormal pathology yet but the visualization of the countour of the head and neck make me look forward to seeing hygromas and nucahal folds. For this week, anyways, its been fun being the old dog learning new ticks. Kathy RDMS

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
