Re: ULTRASOUND digest 1595From: Regnifob@aol.comTue May 7 14:18:39 2002
A not so esoteric question An ultrasound may detect a gender which does not jibe with that on a CVS thus raising a flag to an error in the CVS. Are requests often made to ultrasonographers to specifically use this as a sort of back up to the CVS result when the chromosme result is identical to the mother's and could indicate unsuspected maternal contamination with no other clues? The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
