A cost saving measure, Wolfgang, may be to get in touch with your local Acuson representatives and see if they would be happy to give you a copy of Showcase for free. If you have a good working relationship with Acuson, and you clearly promote their produce through presentations, and posting images on-line, I don't think that is an unreasonable request. (We've got several licences for Showcase locally when we bought Acuson equipment, but shhh... don't tell I told you.) The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
