This is covered in http://www.TheFetus.net > articles > Urinary system > Kidney, pelvic. If you have interesting images they could be posted in http://www.TheFetus.net too. Ask your MD for digital copies if available.

Hi Barbara, My name is Michal I was happy to find your information on web. I'm on the my sixteen weeks of pregnancy - I just did ultrasound the scan was fine except that one of the kidney is a "pelvic kidney". The Kidney is in the right size and functioning. Can you advise me where can I find further additional information on the reasons, risks , child function all other information that can educate me. Do you think I should seek further professional advise ? Thanks a lot , Michal

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
