Uterine synechia or amniotic band?

I am currently in my 10th week of pregnancy and have been suspected to have an amniotic band condition. The physicians found this as I have had many ultrasounds as this is an IN VITRO FERTILIZATION pregnancy. I am eager to find out as much as I can about the statistics of the band breaking or the possibility of a normal unaffected outcome. Our appointment with a perinatologist is not for another 2-3 weeks and the waiting has been very hard with very little explanation of the possibilities. Any informantion would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, Shannon Dalby

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
