Tubo-ovarian AbscessFrom: logwang (logwang@email.msn.com)Wed Apr 17 19:22:34 2002
I recently had an ultrasound that revealed cysts on both the left and right ovaries with the one on the left being almost as large as the ovary itself. I dont understand everything however the radiologists report states that an enlarged left adnexa predominantly of water measuring 5.9 by 3.6 cm. Right adnexa, hypodense area of 14mm may represent a dominant follicle. A tubo-ovarrian abscess is not excluded. The report also stated that findings probably represent hemorrhagic cyst versus endometriomas. I am concerned because the pain gets considerably worse most days it has been three weeks since the initial pains and the pains have not gone away instead they are coupled with severe back pain. I am scared and worried, Is there something I could do different, the pain is paralysing sometimes. Please advice.
