I recieved my IUD after the birth of my son 8 years ago, I have no insurace and haven't had it checked since, I am very concerned with what could happen to me with having it so long. The question that I have is can I have a normal pregnancy and could I continue having my period with it still there? Thanks, Cristal Hannah

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
