3D Multiplanar EndometriumFrom: Niceandnau442489@aol.comThu Mar 7 22:32:37 2002
I am 38 yrs old. My period before the last six months always lasted between 4 to 5 days. My period stopped for 2 months, then I had a regular period then I started bleeding again for a total of 1 month. After that first weird bleeding, my periods have lasted 14 to 15 days of hemorrhaging. I have been hemorrhaging. There is no other word for the amount of blood that has come out of my body for the last 6 months. I have thick jelly like blood clots also coming out of my body. When I wipe myself after an out pouring of blood I have a handful of these jelly like blood clots. If I cough I can feel a lot of blood rush out of my body. I went to a Gynecologist, he didn't give me a pap smear but he took a urine sample and gave me birth control pills to regulate the flow. Why did he give me pills before he knew what is wrong with me? He order a serious of test....blood work up, mammogram and ultra sound... I had the mammogram the day before yesterday and a vaginal ultra sound roughly 2 weeks ago. The vaginal ultra sound showed that my endometrium layer is 16 millimeters thick. Which the nurse (the doctor didn't speak to me) said is pretty thick for a woman that has never been pregnant. She says that is the reason I am bleeding so much and I should take the birth control to control the flow of blood. Am I wrong in thinking that more test should be ran to find out exactly why I am bleeding so much and find a permanent solution to my problem and not a quick fix like the birthcontrol pills.
