Dr Patrizia, This is a very interesting topic... don't know if I will have time to research it tomorrow, perhaps over the weekend. I do recall some articles in the last 2-3 years in the JUM I believe. Ken Taylor, Yale, published some on this many years ago, but I do not believe they followed the perfusion through cycles. In fact, I am not sure the Doppler data through menstrual cycles have been published. We measured the arcuate vessel diameter about the time duplex Doppler was being introduced, but did not use the Doppler. However, we were able to document large changes in the vessel diameters.

Interesting question. Peace, Terry J DuBose, M.S., RDMs Little Rock, Arkansas USA

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
