I am not sure. But the vessels did appear dilated.. and I have not seen this kind of vascularity before. Joe. India.

I agree that this is likely adenomyosis. Are the dilated vessels that are referred to, the arcuate veins normally seen in the outer third? Ted

Here is a 35 yr old female , 2 gravida, 2 para with h/o pain in suprapubic region. Also has backache and dysmenorrhoea. On ultrasound, the uterus is bulky 9.5 x 5.0 x 6 cms size. On transvaginal scan: there is tenderness over the uterus with multiple hypoechoic areas in the myometrium. There were also multiple dilated vessels in the myometrium. What do you say?
