Re: Vernix Caseosa - at what gestational age is it first seen byFrom: Wolfgang Moroder, MD (womorode@tin.it)Thu Feb 14 10:08:28 2002
I would like to remind that there is the Tyndall effect which is particularly present with transvaginal probes using higher frequencies and which permits to visualize microscopical particles suspended in a fluid and normally not visible to the naked eye. There is an excellent website describing this physical phenomenon here: http://www.svpvril.com/Tyndall.html#TOP regards Wolfgang Moroder

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
