Trichinella in pregnancyFrom: Novakov (novakov@EUnet.yu)Sat Jan 12 07:18:50 2002
Dear friends, I need help, fast! There is an outbreak of Trichinellosis in Serbia and among others, I have a pregnant patient, 20 weeks, a doctor, and I can't find anything on what kind of tests I should perform on her in order to get an answer whether the fetus is affected. Can the fetus be affcted? There is a report on a first trimester fetus that was affected, but this was a second trimester baby when the infection occured? Any ideas? Thanks a lot!
