My name is Donna, I am a nurse and a Sonographer. I also have lost 3 pregnancies and had 3 children. I can not tell you from the info you gave as to what is going on, but I can tell you that "misscarriages" are very common, and as hard as it is to get over, it does not mean you are going to do it agaIN!!! I have been working in OB for almost 20 years, don't ever except one Doctors opinion as concert fact. There are many reasons for misscarriages, genetics, autoimmune diseases, sexually transmitted diseases, hormone imbalances, placental implanation abnormalites, etc. One lose is so very, very common! It is not until you have lost 3 0r more that most are even worked up for a reason. You see, for the medical profession as a whole, it is no big deal, but for a woman, it is a very significant deal, she has lose part of her self, her identity, her hopes, her future! I know I have been there!! Most pregnancy are lost in the first 12 weeks, but not all. Communication is very important, if you can not get the answers to comfort you from your present doctor, seek out another. Look for a Perinatologist or endocrintologist who specializes in infertily. In September when I discover that I was 1 month pregnant, I bleed I little bit, and I told my doctor, the told me is was attemp to miscarriage. Afew days later I was back in his office bleeding. So I got = hospitalized for a few days, he gave me treatment and told me that he will tried everything to hold the baby, but if this happens again, it's mean that my own body is trying to clean the body from the pregnancy, because something is wrong.Malformations, etc. In November 17, 2000, I went to regular appointment to my ob gym . At that time I was 14 weeks of gestation. For my surprised, after 2 of the girls who work there did not find any heart beat during my sonogram ( vaginal & thru my belly)called the doctor in a bit. I have this strange feeling that something was wrong I was kept looking = in to the screen and it show 1 month behind and no blinking heart. When I asked my doctor , why what's that, he says "something is wrong". I asked him if the baby was dead, and I believed to come myself down, he = answer, that he did not know that he needs to do a Dimensional Sonogram. = I knew since the moment, the girls looking into each other to called the = doctor, and after he told me that, I knew that there's no baby anymore. After the technician started the Dimensional sonogram, She asked me, why they sent me to do this test ,and I told her they baby is dead. After she looked into the screen, she just said, you'll have another later on. See, confirmed what I was suspected since the beginning. So, on the 20th of November I have a surgical intervention, my pregnancy = was over. I've been depressed since them. I have to say that I am much better know = I can talk about babies and stuff, but inside of myself , I am so afraid = to be pregnant again. So. I went for a second opinion, for my surprised it says almost the same thing from the first one. If I get pregnant again and its happens again, the only treatment is the chemotherapy. But the 2nd doctor told me if I wait for 1year to 1 1/2year everything could work out find.
Can you please help me?? they says they can"to guarantee anything because this can happen in all my pregnancies. It's been almost 1 year since my lost, and I'm willing to try again in February, what it 'so your advice?
