Re: Cord InsertionFrom: Philippe Jeanty (jeanty@TheFetus.net)Wed Nov 14 15:19:40 2001
Look at the link I provided: http://www.TheFetus.net > case of the week > case 10 -----Original Message----- From: ultrasound@obgyn.net [mailto:ultrasound@obgyn.net]On Behalf Of A. Parker-Money RDMS Sent: Wednesday, November 14, 2001 4:17 PM To: Multiple recipients of list ULTRASOUND Subject: Re: Cord Insertion Dr. Jeanty, It did appear we were missing the cord insertion, I do have images, I will get them scanned and send them to you. We absolutely could not image the cord inserting in the fetal abdomen. I have a really nice image of the fetus on it's back and can see the whole abdominal wall, no cord is even seen around the abdomen. I searched through out the whole uterus and could only find one area of cord, which was very small and the walls of the cord were very thin. Altho, I having been scanning for many years and probably should know what "caput medusa form of ductal agenesis" actually is, I do not. Could you explain. Thank you for your response, again I will scan the images and send them. A Parker-Money RDMS

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
