placental mass- unusualFrom: DR. JOE ANTONY (jscan@vsnl.com)Tue Nov 13 23:46:08 2001
This is a 21 weeks pregnancy with no other abnormality. Placenta is posterior and shows a inhomogenous, slightly hypoechoic mass of 4 to 5 cms with a membrane floating above it. It is attached around margins of mass. What could it be? Ever seen or heard of such appearance? Please reply. Be sending the other pics separately. The mother had some antibiotics in 1 st trimester. Joe, Cochin, India.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
