Dear Dr. Veronica Mallari-Deniega I just uploaded in the Ultrasound Image Gallery http://www.obgyn.net/us/gallery/gallery.htm two pictures of a vaginal scan depicting in a sagittal and transverse section the images of a "marginal sinus". In many textbooks bleeding from the marginal sinus is referred to as a frequent cause of vaginal bleeding in the third trimester. I do not know how much this is evidence based but I was fortunate to capture such a marginal sinus on a low liying placenta and I'd like to share it with the forum. I hope these images can be of help for your lecture, provided that OBGYNET makes them available on the Ultrasound Image Gallery, otherwise do not hesitate to contact me. Regards. Wolfgang

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
