enlargement of the uterus it measures 12.5by5.8by7.6 cm and appears to involve a very large fibroid in the fundal area. it would appear that the majority of the uterine fundus is fibroid in appearance. the patient has what appears to be largely replacement of the uterine fundus by a large uterine fibroid. the uterus itself is blobally enlarged. the right ovary was nonvisualized, but the left ovary appeared normal. could you please tell me if the fibroid would be located on the outside or inside of the uterus and what type of treatments there are for this condition.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
