UTERINE SEPTUMFrom: EJTALVAREZ@aol.comTue Aug 21 12:56:32 2001
I AM 37. I HAVE A PERFECTLY HEALTHY SON THAT IS ALMOST THREE, HOWEVER, I JUST HAD A MISCARRIAGE. DURING MY FIRST ULTRASOUND MY DR. NOTICED THAT I HAVE A UTERINE SEPTUM, BUT SAID THAT IT SHOULD NOT INTERFERE WITH THE PREGNANCY. DURING MY SECOND ULTRASOUND, HE NOTICED THAT MY UTERUS HAD "HORNS" AND THERE WAS NOT FETAL MOVEMENT OR HEART RATE. IS THERE A CONNECTION? I WANT TO GET PREGNANT AGAIN, IF POSSIBLE, BUT WANT TO MAKE SURE THAT THIS IS NOT A MEDICAL CONDITION THAT REQUIRES SURGERY OR OTHER TYPE OF CARE. PLEASE HELP... THANK YOU, EVELYN ALVAREZ

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
