I am a 23 year old who has been on the depo-provera injection for two and a half years. Until 30 days ago, I also have had amenorrhoea. Then i began heavy bleeding (including the obvious discharge of blood clots). This case seems similar to mine, what reccomendations do you suggest that i take. I have spoke with my doctor on this, and he insists that the bleeding is only a side-effect of the depo injection. Thank you for any input that you may give me. Melissa Bailey

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
