Vessel CordFrom: Bob Chapman (chapman@pop.zoomnet.mindspring.com)Fri Jun 29 21:38:32 2001
I am really in desperate need of informationa on a 2 vessel cord. We just had our fourth child, and he was born with this problem. No doctors seem to want to give us info on this and they only ordered a ultrasound of his kidneys but did not tell us why. We have heard this causes heart problems and needs to be looked at by a specialist and these doctors here have not said anything about his heart nor have they looked at it. Could you please help us understand what this all means. The baby turned 2 weeks old today. We only found out yesterday that he was born with this when the hospital called needing to do a repeat ultrasound. Thank you so much.....Sarah

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
