Re: fetal dilated bowelsFrom: zalel (zalel_y@netvision.net.il)Tue Jun 26 15:40:28 2001
Dear Dr. Fazeel! In the literature it's considered dilated when bowel loops are more than 8-9 mm in width. However, according to our experience (in a study we're conducting) even width of more than 13-15 mm turned out to be normal, so we think the literature should be updated. Best regards Yaron Zalel, MD

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
