hello dr Jose, false positives are really interesting, and I had a case,a lady-primi, who came to me for the first visit at full-term,(39 weeks 6 days to be precise)and the fetus apppeared to have a mass in the abdomen,we racked our brains and came up with the fantastic diagnosis of fetal neuroblastoma, and the next day she delivered and the fetus turned out to have anal atresia, and what had appeared as the mass was in fact dilated meconeum-filled bowel loops! I have the antenatal and postnatal pictures if you would like to see them. with best wishes, nayana

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
