Myoma

Hi there,

I'm not really from the medical field, but I really need your help. My girlfriend has Myoma in her ovaries, and she says its a more serious case of Myoma because it's bleeding. I'm really worried about her. I guess what I just want to know is if this kind of "serious Myoma" is a common thing or not, and if treatment to this is risk-free and safe, and guaranteed to cure the patient. I'm almost afraid to ask, if it isn't cured, is it fatal? Also, does it affect one's pregnancy (not that my girlfriend is pregnant)?

If you know of websites that can give me more information about this, please send me the URL as well.

Thank you very much and pardon me for the bother.

Joon

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
