Dr Cutchin, Thanks for your reply. Often educating people to change is an uphill battle and we try to educate one clinical site at a time. It still amazes me that there are some facilities that do not even think latex allergies are a problem. We are making progress, and of course we hold up the model sites as the best examples of how things should be done.

We teach the students the correct way in the classroom and provide resources with the most current information. We hope they will be the ambassadors of change to the various clinical locations.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
