We here at the college have been working on protocols in class and are finding that asking the patient if they have any allergies and specificially latex is an important part of the procedure at a lot of our clinical sites. I know that is not directly part of the procedure, however it is becoming more important, and a number of sites are stocking a variety of non latex products. And a note to Ann, we have been following your trip to Africa with much interest. Kathleen Murphy Program Director GateWay Community College

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
