Informal Case:Abnormal EndometriumFrom: LIZZY1973@aol.comMon Mar 26 06:28:35 2001
I have been on Depo Provera for 5 years, and recently, I have had group women conversations about the life side effects on Depo. To tell you honestly, I have had no negative symptoms, and what is great about it, is that I have not have any periods since the first time I had the shot. It had made my life easier without having to worry about the once a month thing, but after I had this conversations with female-friends, I got concern about not able to be pregnant in the future. I was told that since I have not have any periods for 5 years now, that this is bad for my health as having a baby in the future. This worries me. Liza

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
