Informal Case: Uterine Fundus - http://www.obgyn.net/us/present/From: DuboseTerryJ@uams.eduTue Jan 23 07:35:14 2001
I agree with Dr. Mário Libardi, this looks like focal myometrial contraction. The fact that the septation disappeared after about 30 minutes is even more convincing of a focal contraction. The image is caused by a transverse view which is tangential to the contraction causing it to appear like a septation. See: http://www.obgyn.net/us/present/0101/beutler1.htm Terry J. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
