Re: ULTRASOUND digest 1095From: Richard M. Roberts, MD, PhD, FACMG (vol/gene@vol.com)Sat Dec 16 12:02:10 2000
I can vouch for that. I used to have to cross Queens Blvd to visit my grandparents every weekend during the school years 1960-63 in Rego Park. I can't imagine how chaotic it would be today. I would estimate the danger to be over 1000 times that of a first trimester ultrasound in the early 1960's (the danger likely limited to the effects of somebody tripping over the vaginal probe cord during the exam, or perhaps a severe sneeze by the ultrasonographer. The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
