Dr. Worrall, your images are interesting. I hope they will be up in the Informal Cases soon.

In the mean time, thinking that a small choroid plexus might be due to an ischemic problem, I went to Gray's Anatomy (1977)... "The anterior choroid is a small but constant branch which arises from the back part of the internal carotid, near the posterior communicating artery. Passing backward and outward between the temporal lobe and the crus cerebri, it enters the descending horn of the lateral ventricle through the transverse fissure and ends in the choroid plexus."

When you reexamine, try to see if the contralateral choroid is normal, and see if the circle of Willis is symmetrical...

Thanks for the images.

Does anyone think this atrium looks strange? It seems to me the choroid is stunted and the occipital horn appears long as a consequence. > I wondered if there were a choroid cyst just in the atrium but I could not see a thin wall at the end of the choroid. All other anatomy appears normal.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
