I agree we should post these for discussion... with the suggested changes, and as a teaching file of normal fetal anatomy.

It is rare that I get to study anatomy this early any more as I now only do high-risk OB. However, in light of the errors of labeling fetal cranial anatomy that we have seen in some textbooks this last week, I would love to see a whole series of quality images of the embryofetal head generated with new endovaginal machines. Particularly I would like to see the early development of the cerebrum and choroid plexus throughout the 1st trimester.

Of course, really good images of all of the fetal anatomy on a week by week basis would be wonderful.

Thanks for your participation, everyone.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
