Re: question regarding the history of sonography schoolsFrom: Terry DuBose (terrydubose@sbcglobal.net)Sun Jul 23 09:54:02 2006
I think Marveen Craig was involved in the U Colorado program also. Perhaps Marveen will add her recollections also. Terry CRASHFC@aol.com wrote: In 1976, at the University of Colorado, Dr Holmes, Dr Ken Gottesfeld, Dr Paul Carson Carol Rashbaum and myself started a one year program in General and Cardiac Ultrasound. Our first class graduated in 1977. I left the University that year so I am not sure what happened to the program after that. I am sure that we had a formal program under the auspices of the University of Colorado. Not the first program, but certainly one of the first. Sincerely Fred A Chavez RVT RDCS RDMS

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
