Steve died as he lived; in the loving embrace of his family. Steve served on the SDMS Board of Directors for over ten years as a Regional Director, President-Elect, President (2000-2002), and Past President. Steve was a Fellow of the SDMS, and in addition to his Society Board service he served the association and ultrasound community in a multitude of roles; committee chair, Board liaison, national certification exam proctor, local ultrasound society President, and counselor. Steve was the President of Suburban Diagnostic Lab, a mobile ultrasound company serving clients throughout the greater Boston area. A wake celebrating Steve's life will be held at the Keefe Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 11 from 4-8 p.m. (Contact information: Keefe Funeral Home 5 Chestnut St., Arlington, Massachusetts, 02474, 781-648-5544). Online condolences which will be shared with the McLaughlin family may be placed through the following website: http://www.keefefuneralhome.com A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, January 12 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church (114 High Street, Medford, Massachusetts, 02155, 781-396-0423). The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education.
