Marveen, excellent! We will post it as a special historical article, rather than just a message on the Listserv. Please send your article to me and we will put it up as a stand alone.... thanks, Terry

>>Marveen, thanks for your contribution to this history forum. This is
>>exactly the sort of exchange for which this forum was designed.

>>I hope you will also contribute your memories of your work with Dr.
Joseph Holmes. You will remember that I once audio taped your story, but the recorder failed us. Perhaps a written memory might be more thoughtful than the quick verbal recall on a large, busy, and noisy exhibit hall floor would have been. Thanks for your participation, and all you have done for sonographers over they years. >>
>>In addition I hope you will add a bit of the history of the
International Institute of Ultrasound in Dallas way back in the golden days. When I was in Austin, we sent 2 or 3 of our sonographers to your Institute and all came back as very good members of our sonographic team. I believe all of them are still working there... thanks. >>
>>Marveen is one of the unsung heroines of sonography, but much too
modest. I noticed that she said "I was working as a "secretary" in the ultrasound laboratory of Dr. Joseph Holmes ". She doesn't tell that she became so interested in sonography that she would sneak into the lab and taught herself to scan, eventually educating thousands in her International Institute of Ultrasound. Marveen this story deserves to be told, no matter how modest you may be, and this is just the place to tell it. >>Perhaps we can get some of your students to recount their memories
>>also, if you take the lead.

The American Medical Association is no longer designating CME hours for AMA Category II CME credit. However, physicians themselves may self designate learning activities as Category II CME credit hours if they feel it is of sufficient educational merit and meets the formal definitions of continuing medical education. OBGYN.net believes these interaction in this forum meets these criteria. For further information see the AMA web site.
