A collaborative effort between OBGYN.net and the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (www.SDMS.org).
This forum is for individuals involved in the beginning years of medical ultrasound to post recollections and comments about those years. This section also contains historical articles, images, and interviews with comment links to this forum. Articles, images, and scans can be submitted for peer-review publication, or individuals are welcome to add their recollections or comments about the history of medical ultrasound. It is anticipated that this forum/section will become a "polybiography" (by the many, about the many events) of medical sonographic history.
Historians are invited to mine the history of ultrasound; source citations are in order. Citations should follow this format: Author, date posted, title, URL, last access date.
Copyright to articles, comments, and images remain the property of the authors, and are published here by permission. All content published here is protected by the laws of copyright. Duplication or publication elsewhere without the express and written permission of the author and/or OBGYN.net is strictly prohibited.
The Ultrasound-History Forum has been created for individuals, physicians, and solution providers to discuss topics related to Ultrasound-History. These topics include but are not limited to; the exchange of ideas, personal experiences, opinions, product recommendations, critiques, books, publications, and asking advice of the participating medical professionals.
This forum is intended to be supportive, interesting, and fun. It is unmoderated which means your posts do not have to be approved first before inclusion.
The Ultrasound-History forum is intended for professionals only. If you are not a professional and have a question, please visit the Women's Health Forum to search the archives.
