I really dont think that the issue is IMG vs AMG.For any program to take notice, you have to be a cut above the rest.Once you do get the interviews it is about projecting yourself as a person who can fit well with their colleagues. It helps if you are articulate in your speech. It is my experience that programs do not have any information regarding the training that we receive overseas and therefore are sceptical in recruiting IMGs.Therefore I suggest that you attach yourself as an observer in the program that you are interested in.I used to have my reservations regarding applying to high profile programs however after i matched in an OBGYN university program in California, all that has changed.Believe in yourself and go out there and give it your best.Persistanc always pays.
