I am currently a 3rd year medical student in Texas and I am interested in OB/Gyn residencies in New York. If there is anyone out there from a residency in New York, I have two questions. One, as I am arranging for away rotations in programs in New York, which ones are good, bad, or average. Any to stay away from, either because they aren't any good or only have gunners there? Second, do all the residencies in NYC provide some sort of housing for residents or are you on your own? If the latter is the case, how in the world can you afford to live in NYC on a resident's salary?

Any help anyone can give is greatly appreciated.
