Hi, You can get all the information you need regarding the MRCOG exam from the College website.Just key in http://www.rcog.org.uk in your web browser's address bar.In addition the site maintains a trainee's section (35 £ to join )which is very helpful. You can also find a list of what books to read and the syllabus for the exam . I dont think you will be able to work as SHO in the UK after clearing only the part-1 MRCOG exam .You will need to take the PLAB or get an exemption. You can work if you have cleared the MRCOG part-2 exam , but this exam is more demanding than the PLAB exam . In any case you will need some UK experience for the MRCOG part-2 exam. You can however be do a clinical attachment (only observing)without the PLAB or MRCOG.If you clear the PLAB exam you can get a job in O & G ,even if you have not passed the MRCOG part-1 exam. Please do confirm all this , I am giving you the information which is as accurate as I know, Best of luck, Cruz
